​Eligibility Criteria

​To apply for the Navy MR 1/2027 batch, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

​1. Educational Qualification

  • ​Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th) Examination from a recognized board.
  • ​A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10th is mandatory.
  • ​Note: Students who have appeared for the 10th exam in 2026 and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

​2. Age Limit

​Navy MR Exam Pattern & Syllabus

​The Stage 1 exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 50 objective-type questions to be solved in 30 minutes.

  • ​Section A: Mathematics & Science (25 Questions)
  • ​Section B: General Awareness (25 Questions)

​Syllabus Focus:

  • ​Mathematics: 10th-level Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, and Arithmetic.
  • ​Science: Physics (Laws of Motion, Work/Energy), Chemistry, and Basic Biology.
  • ​General Awareness: Geography (Rivers, Mountains), History, Culture, Sports, and Current Affairs. (Note: Reasoning and Polity are usually not included in MR).

​Selection Process

​The selection is divided into two main stages:

  1. ​Stage 1: Shortlisting through a Computer-Based Examination (INET).
  2. ​Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Examination (Stage 2), and Recruitment Medical Examination.

    3. ​Special Note for NCC 'C' Certificate Holders: Candidates with an NCC 'C' certificate are exempted from the Stage 1 exam but must appear for the Stage 2 written test and physicals.
