    ​Eligibility & Courses Covered

    ​Candidates who have passed or are appearing in the Class 12 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination are eligible to apply. The exam serves as a gateway for:

    1. Engineering & Technology (B.E. / B.Tech)
    2. Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
    3. Architecture (B.Arch)

Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

​WBJEE 2026 will be an offline (OMR-based) test consisting of two papers.

​Paper Breakdown:

  1. Paper I (Mathematics): 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (100 Marks)

  1. Paper II (Physics & Chemistry): 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (100 Marks)

    Quick Tip: Category 1 and 2 have negative markings (1/4th and 1/2 respectively), but Category 3 has NO negative marking.

    Application Fee

    ​The fee varies based on category and gender:

    • General (Male): ₹500

    • General (Female) / SC/ST/OBC (Male): ₹400

    • SC/ST/OBC (Female) / Third Gender: ₹300

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026. (No upper age limit except for Marine Engineering).

  • Education: Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Minimum Marks: 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) and at least 30% in English.

Documents Required for Registration

​Keep these scanned copies ready before March 10:

  • ​Passport-sized color photograph (10 KB – 200 KB).

  • ​Signature on white paper (4 KB – 30 KB).

  • ​Class 10th Admit Card (as age proof).

  • ​Domicile/Caste Certificate (if applicable).
