2. New Vacancy Notifications

Aspirants are eagerly waiting for new recruitment drives. The letter requests the board to announce dates for:

  • WBP & KP Constable
  • WBP & KP Sub-Inspector (SI)
  • Wireless Operator & Supervisor
  • Excise SI & Constable

3. Demand for Age Relaxation

Due to delays caused by OBC-related legal matters over the last two years, many students have crossed the upper age limit. Candidates have requested:

  • Age Relaxation in all upcoming notifications.
  • The eligibility age to be calculated as of January 1, 2026.

4. Transparency and Exam Issues

The memorandum highlights several points to ensure a fair selection process:

  • OMR Transparency: Request to upload scanned OMR copies online and provide carbon copies to candidates during Mains exams.
  • WBP SI 2024 Error: Clarification regarding a gender-related error in Question No. 12 (Reasoning section) in the Bengali version.
  • Selection Ratio: A request to call 24–25 times the number of candidates for the PMT/PET round for KP Constable 2024.

5. Court Matters and EWS Clarification

Candidates asked if ongoing cases in the Calcutta High Court would delay the WBP Constable 2024 merit list. Additionally, they sought clarity on which financial year's EWS Certificate would be valid for the Sadgop category.

What’s Next?

The WBPRB has received the memorandum. While the board has not yet issued an official response, this collective effort by candidates puts pressure on the authorities to speed up the recruitment process.
