​The recruitment will be divided into two main categories:

​Eligibility Criteria

​1. Educational Qualification

  • ​Constable/Tradesman (Cook, Barber, Sweeper): Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
  • ​Technical Trades (Electrician, Plumber, Mason): Class 10 pass + ITI Certificate in the relevant trade.

​2. Age Limit

  • ​General (UR): 18 – 23 Years
  • ​OBC: 18 – 26 Years (3 years relaxation)
  • ​SC/ST: 18 – 28 Years (5 years relaxation)

Selection Process

​The selection for SSB recruitment usually follows these four stages:

  1. ​Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & PST: Running and physical measurements.
  2. ​Written Examination: Objective type test covering GK, Math, Hindi/English, and Reasoning.
  3. ​Trade Test: Only for Tradesman posts (Skill testing).
  4. ​Medical Examination: Final health check-up and document verification.

​How to Prepare?

​Since the competition for SSB is high, candidates should focus on:

  • ​Daily Running: Start practicing for the 5km (Male) or 1.6km (Female) run.
  • ​Previous Year Papers: Solve SSC GD and SSB Tradesman papers from 2018–2025.
